Timber floor staining - dramatic colour effects
Staining your timber floors can have dramatic effects. You can emphasise the wood grain, darken a light wood, or make a new wooden floor look rare and recyled. Stain colours are varied and its effectiveness is enhanced by its method of application - rubbing into the grain by hand.
Tinted polyurethane - an economical alternative
For a protective coating that also changes the colour of the timber, tinted polyurethane is an economical alternative to the two step process of staining the wooden floor first and then applying clear polyurethane. Although this method changes the floor colour, it doesn't enhance the wood grain.
Protect your stained timber floors with a polyurethane coating
Stains are primarily designed to impart colour effects to your wooden floors. For a protection and durability, and to enhance the colour of the stain, 4 Star Flooring can apply a clear polyurethane coating over the stained wood.
